Back to uni, exams soon

Hi again :)

So as the title says I'm now back at university (meaning exams are soon! Eek!) Also can I just say that my bed here is sooo comfortable :D I don't know why that's important but it is.

Last week before I came back I went to Fashion Playground in Westfield, London. It was a circus themed evening with lots of food and drinks being given out. Most of the designer stores had exclusive discounts for the night, I didn't buy anything though because I had no money. But on the plus side, the reason why I had no money is because... Dun dun durr... I bought my dream dress :)

I can't wait for it to arrive (though I'm sure I'm going to have to pay a large amount of money for customs...). Anyway here are some photos from Fashion Playground.

I wasn't feeling so good about coming back to uni, recently I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life, when I was young I always wanted to do something to do with art, most of the women on my mum's side of the family are very artistic... but I ended up doing physics? I guess they're not related at all (although in lectures when you look around lots of people are doodling... and most of them can draw well.)

Actually, I've been at university for 2 years now, last year I did a foundation year and the course was fine for me (easy, not loads and loads of work) but I didn't enjoy being here, I got really homesick and things like that. But this year it's the opposite, I love it here now and all the people I've met, but I'm unsure about my course. At first I found it so difficult and while all my flatmates only had a few lectures a week I had 40+ hours of work to do, I got really worn out and felt like I wasn't going to pass the year.

Now that I'm back though I feel a lot better about things (maybe I just needed a break?) I've got a couple of in class tests back and got firsts on both of them :) so I guess things aren't as bad as I thought, maybe I'll pass the year after all!

A picture from before I came back. Look at the size of my forehead! I need to cut my fringe at some point to cover that up haha.

If I don't update any time soon it means I'm doing lots of revision, tomorrow is my day off though so I may be going out for a meal with my flatmates :) Bye for now!

Ideal home show + other things

Hi again, long time no post, I've been pretty busy lately!
As I said before my dad and I went to the ideal home show a while ago, so I have a few photos from that.

This was a cupboard sort thing, but it had a fish tank built in to it, they also had garden tables with ponds in the middle.

This sweet stall had cupcakes made out of chocolate, cute lollipops, etc. And at the side there was a tree made out of sweets too!

What I wore, it was really hot so I dressed for summer :)

You can see my natural hair here... I guess it's pretty boring. I didn't wear very much make up (only eye-liner + mascara) because I don't like having so much stuff on my face when it's hot.

After that my we decided to redecorate my bedroom at home, so I spent a lot of time tidying and giving away a lot of old clothes, books, etc. I never got round to having my room re-done before because I hoard so much stuff, I just can't seem to throw things away! But now it's empty, so we've ordered new wardrobes, new bed... pretty much new everything. I think my dad's going to start replacing the floor + radiator when I go back to uni so hopefully it will be done when I'm back after exams :)

When my dad was out the other day I decided to move the double bed from my bedroom to our spare room, I managed to get the bed frame moved fine, but the mattress I have right now is really old so flops around a lot, I ended up falling and getting stuck under it! Fortunately this was about 5 minutes before my dad came back home so I wasn't stuck for too long, haha.

Instead of getting me an egg this year my dad bought me these ducks, aren't they cute? Last year whenever my dad and I went to M&S I would point out these chocolate ducks called Mr. and Mrs. Duck. Well turns out Their Royal Ducknesses are just the same but with different hats (crowns) on, so I got my Mr. and Mrs. Duck after all :)

Also over Easter weekend my dad and I (I only realise from writing this blog how much time I spend with him!) went to the River Hamble because he's bought a new boat there and needed to have it surveyed... or something? I don't really know much about boats... I didn't even go near it, I hate deep water!

The area's really lovely though, we had a drive around, there are lots of little cottages and places you can stay if you go on holiday, we also went out for a meal.

What I wore (+ my empty room... which I guess isn't all that empty, but to me who normally keeps loads of mess it is). I wanted to look nice because my dad said there would be lots of rich men there for me to marry, haha. I ended up sticking a petticoat under my dress to make it 'poof' more.

In other news I've found a beautiful Angelic Pretty salopette that for sale... normally I'm so cheap when it comes to buying clothes, but I guess this could be considered my dream dress? So hopefully I can get it *fingers crossed*

That's all for today, I think I'll try to update more often so  don't end up posting a huge entry like this again!
Bye-bye for now!
