Back to uni, exams soon

Hi again :)

So as the title says I'm now back at university (meaning exams are soon! Eek!) Also can I just say that my bed here is sooo comfortable :D I don't know why that's important but it is.

Last week before I came back I went to Fashion Playground in Westfield, London. It was a circus themed evening with lots of food and drinks being given out. Most of the designer stores had exclusive discounts for the night, I didn't buy anything though because I had no money. But on the plus side, the reason why I had no money is because... Dun dun durr... I bought my dream dress :)

I can't wait for it to arrive (though I'm sure I'm going to have to pay a large amount of money for customs...). Anyway here are some photos from Fashion Playground.

I wasn't feeling so good about coming back to uni, recently I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life, when I was young I always wanted to do something to do with art, most of the women on my mum's side of the family are very artistic... but I ended up doing physics? I guess they're not related at all (although in lectures when you look around lots of people are doodling... and most of them can draw well.)

Actually, I've been at university for 2 years now, last year I did a foundation year and the course was fine for me (easy, not loads and loads of work) but I didn't enjoy being here, I got really homesick and things like that. But this year it's the opposite, I love it here now and all the people I've met, but I'm unsure about my course. At first I found it so difficult and while all my flatmates only had a few lectures a week I had 40+ hours of work to do, I got really worn out and felt like I wasn't going to pass the year.

Now that I'm back though I feel a lot better about things (maybe I just needed a break?) I've got a couple of in class tests back and got firsts on both of them :) so I guess things aren't as bad as I thought, maybe I'll pass the year after all!

A picture from before I came back. Look at the size of my forehead! I need to cut my fringe at some point to cover that up haha.

If I don't update any time soon it means I'm doing lots of revision, tomorrow is my day off though so I may be going out for a meal with my flatmates :) Bye for now!

Ideal home show + other things

Hi again, long time no post, I've been pretty busy lately!
As I said before my dad and I went to the ideal home show a while ago, so I have a few photos from that.

This was a cupboard sort thing, but it had a fish tank built in to it, they also had garden tables with ponds in the middle.

This sweet stall had cupcakes made out of chocolate, cute lollipops, etc. And at the side there was a tree made out of sweets too!

What I wore, it was really hot so I dressed for summer :)

You can see my natural hair here... I guess it's pretty boring. I didn't wear very much make up (only eye-liner + mascara) because I don't like having so much stuff on my face when it's hot.

After that my we decided to redecorate my bedroom at home, so I spent a lot of time tidying and giving away a lot of old clothes, books, etc. I never got round to having my room re-done before because I hoard so much stuff, I just can't seem to throw things away! But now it's empty, so we've ordered new wardrobes, new bed... pretty much new everything. I think my dad's going to start replacing the floor + radiator when I go back to uni so hopefully it will be done when I'm back after exams :)

When my dad was out the other day I decided to move the double bed from my bedroom to our spare room, I managed to get the bed frame moved fine, but the mattress I have right now is really old so flops around a lot, I ended up falling and getting stuck under it! Fortunately this was about 5 minutes before my dad came back home so I wasn't stuck for too long, haha.

Instead of getting me an egg this year my dad bought me these ducks, aren't they cute? Last year whenever my dad and I went to M&S I would point out these chocolate ducks called Mr. and Mrs. Duck. Well turns out Their Royal Ducknesses are just the same but with different hats (crowns) on, so I got my Mr. and Mrs. Duck after all :)

Also over Easter weekend my dad and I (I only realise from writing this blog how much time I spend with him!) went to the River Hamble because he's bought a new boat there and needed to have it surveyed... or something? I don't really know much about boats... I didn't even go near it, I hate deep water!

The area's really lovely though, we had a drive around, there are lots of little cottages and places you can stay if you go on holiday, we also went out for a meal.

What I wore (+ my empty room... which I guess isn't all that empty, but to me who normally keeps loads of mess it is). I wanted to look nice because my dad said there would be lots of rich men there for me to marry, haha. I ended up sticking a petticoat under my dress to make it 'poof' more.

In other news I've found a beautiful Angelic Pretty salopette that for sale... normally I'm so cheap when it comes to buying clothes, but I guess this could be considered my dream dress? So hopefully I can get it *fingers crossed*

That's all for today, I think I'll try to update more often so  don't end up posting a huge entry like this again!
Bye-bye for now!

Home for Easter :)

Hello everyone~
I've broken up from university for 4 weeks now so I'm back in London.
I'd like to be able to go out with friends and enjoy the good weather... but I have a lot of revision to do, my exams start in 6 weeks! Eek!

Before I left my flatmates all went shopping and bought me gifts :)

A pirate mask (!?), duck, rose, sweets and Easter egg. That was the third Easter egg I got so far, but I've eaten them all already, haha :P

We also bought a box of Krispy Kremes

Everyone else got all chocolate doughnuts, my row looks the odd-one-out.

My friend said this would be me if I was a doughnut, yellow with sprinkles?

On Friday my dad came to pick me up and bring me home :) we went out for lunch at Prezzo because I had no food left in my fridge D:

Instead of getting one big dish Prezzo also lets you have two smaller ones, I got pasta with salmon and broccoli and the other I think had prawns and chilli? My dad just had a salad because he said he needs to lose weight haha.

Packed up and ready to leave~ I stuck my alpacas on either side of the car, we got a lot of strange looks when going down the motorway :)

When I'm at home I get to see my best friend Priscilla <3

(And my horrible old carpet D: !)
I thought I'd be able to take good outfit photos at home (because I don't have a full length mirror at university) but I guess my mirror at home is kind of small too, it's better than nothing though so I'll get round to doing that eventually...

Until then here you can sort of see what I wore today :)

Can you see the yucky burn on my arm? I accidentally touched it to a baking tray when I was cooking, I did the same thing about a month ago but that time I got a blister, it ended up bursting and now I have a scar :( I don't know if you can see it on my wrist? I don't think it's too noticeable. Hopefully because this burn didn't blister it won't leave any marks :)

Tomorrow my dad and I are going to the ideal home show, I'll probably try to blog about that at some point. Until then I need to be up early tomorrow, so I better get to bed!

Good night everyone :)

Blog about sleep?

Hello again :D
How is everyone?

The weather's getting much warmer recently, but that also means the sun rises early. Recently my body has been saying "Oh the sun is up, I should get up too!" which seems to happen at 6 in the morning D:

This means I've been very tired recently as I can't seem to get back to sleep. I try to go to bed early now, last night I went to bed at 9(!!) I don't think I've done that in years. The worst part is because term is ending soon we have a lot of deadlines for this week and next. We have a lab report and presentation both due in early next week then I think most of my work is done :)

I'm looking forward to going back to London for the Easter holidays, hopefully I won't have too much revision to do and will get to go out in the sunshine! I'm going to make an Easter resolution I think, maybe eat more healthy and go to the gym? I don't like making resolutions at new year because it's always so cold and gloomy, I never feel like doing anything especially not improving myself!

Speaking of eating healthy... look at this small apple!

Maybe it's just me, but I find food in smaller form really cute :3 When my flatmates came back here on Sunday the first thing I said was "Did you bring me anything to eat~?" so my friend gave me this small apple :D Haha I guess that was a pretty pointless thing to mention.

Tomorrow I have an important exam so I need to finish off my revision, I just hope I don't fall asleep...

Wish me luck!

Introduction + First post

So today, all my flatmates have gone home and I'm lonely! I guess a perfect time to start blogging then~ :)

So first then let me introduce myself
My name's Sarah and I'm currently studying astrophysics at university, interested in fashion and food, so that'll probably be what most of my blogs are about. I also love travelling :D but because it's expensive I don't get to do it much :(. My home is in London but right now I'm living in Surrey in the UK :)

Nice to meet you :D

Last weekend I went to Central London with some of my friends from home, the weather was terrible, and because it was Sunday there was a lot of engineering work >:(. We ended up walking from Waterloo to Soho and it took around half an hour, I got completely soaked!

We went to a restaurant called Inamo where you can eat lots of different asian food.

The tables there are really amazing, you can click on them to see the menu and order your food. There's a chef cam as well to see your food getting cooked and you can also change the table background and play games on it~ :)

They had 3 different non-alcoholic cocktails, we got one of each and my other friend got a beer (not pictured).

My lunch box :) the salad and dumplings were spicy, I used to hate spicy food until a few years ago but now I like it :).

For desert we went to a place called Candy Cafe in Chinatown.

My friend and I shared a peach crepe, it had cream, ice cream and cheesecake on top :D It was soo nice, I think I like sweet food most of all.

I also bought some sushi... I never learnt the name of this so I just call it 'triangle rice' haha.

That's all for today, take care!
